"Clothing reconstruction” is a process where Erik takes existing garments, either new or old, and adds custom design elements, including other complimentary fabric, perhaps even combining two or more garments, creating new “one of a kind” clothing items, that also are fitted perfectly. Therefore, you could actually take that item you have in your closet that you don’t wear anymore for whatever reason – it being dated, damaged, ill-fitting or such - and have Erik breathe new life into it by working his magic on it after consultation with you. The end result will surely amaze you and your friends! Erik will add or remove any features of the item to suit your taste. That pair of once-favored pants with the hole in the knee, which you don’t have the heart to throw away, Erik can remove the knee and replace it with a different fabric, or add a flared leg, he could add or remove a belled bottom from any pants and lengthen or shorten the other items in your closet which you’ve always meant to wear but they’re maybe needing some kind of special creative twist before you can love wearing them... the imagination is your only limitation and in your personal consultation with Erik he will thrill you with some of his very own ideas that you may have not thought about. I don't live in California can I still have custom clothes made for me?
Yes. Erik will personally consult with you to understand your desires and answer your questions to make sure that you are completely satisfied with the look and fit of your “new” clothes. You will need to send in your items, your basic measurements (specs), and your gender and birth date (including year) from which Erik will establish your Feng Shui personality type which will give him preferred colors and a direction to go toward prior to sitting down at his machine. Erik is an artist and considers his sewing machine to be his medium of choice at this stage of his life and can’t wait to start on something for you!
Can Erik make clothes from scratch?
Sure he can. However, that will need a little more information from you, including possibly meeting you in person prior to designing, and then one or even two fitting sessions.
How do I set up a custom fitting?
Buying custom made clothes doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming and Erik makes it very simple. If you live in the LA area just contact Erik via email or phone and discuss a schedule that works for the two of you.
Does Erik do Alterations?
Erik does not take on jobs requiring only basic alterations. These would best be left to your personal tailor.
